The 427 SOHC is actually bored and stroked to 456 cu.in. This Mercury Comet is as close to being perfect as you can see in the photos and video. Because his is a stickler on detail and likes to keep his cars in near perfect condition. In 2017 the current owner decided to go through the entire car and have everything checked and the engine rebuilt. Several years after the build, his customer sold the car to Wayne Jeffer in Florida, who had it in a museum for display purposes and then sold it in 2012 to the current owner. This car was built by a well-known SOHC expert in California, Butch Engelbrecht (of B&E Motorsports) in 1998.
