Harmonix has always touted that you could pick and choose the songs you want to download instead of being forced to buy a set (as is the case with the competition). It's unfortunate that the AC/DC Live tracks had to be released on disc. Even if you only know one or two AC/DC songs, if you like those that you know, then you'll probably enjoy everything else offered in the track pack. The standouts are "Dirty Deeds," "High Voltage," and "Thunderstruck." There's not a bad song among the batch, though I wasn't exactly banging my head to the live version of "For Those About to Rock." Obviously, you have to enjoy AC/DC to have fun with these tracks. But the sound quality, while certainly not to the level of a studio album, is good and the live versions are impressive. Harmonix has dabbled in live versions before, to mixed results.

All 18 tracks are live songs and the recordings are of a surprisingly good quality. For those who just want the download code, AC/DC Live makes for an excellent purchase. If you do own Rock Band 1 or 2, then I have some happier news for you. Personally, I love to sit near an open kitchen because it really gives you a sense of a restaurant’s true vibe when you get to see the staff in action. But on the off chance that there's someone out there thinking of making AC/DC Live their first music game purchase, I am here to save your very soul. Is importing some of the same functionality as Rock Band 2 too much to ask for? Shouldn't we have some character models of AC/DC at least to personalize this edition? Ideally, those purchasing AC/DC Live will do so just to get the code so they can import these tracks to Rock Band 2. But that doesn't mean Harmonix gets a pass on what is included on disc. In all likelihood, AC/DC forced Harmonix to release the AC/DC track pack as a retail disc for Wal-Mart.
